We had a grand project where the task was to choose any topic of our interest, research the problem and how might we build a design solution. I chose Epilepsy and Education as my topic.

In the Indian educational institutions, many people have misconceptions about epilepsy. According to Times, a survey among 400 teachers was held. It was found that 1 in 5 teachers knew first aid to seizure and others believed it to be a curse. It was also found that a lot of parents are hesitant to talk about the issue since some schools do not take in epileptic students.

To build an educational platform for teachers to better understand their students who are facing epilepsy and create a comfortable atmosphere

I created an app called Seizure Smart which roughly means becoming an expert in epilepsy.
